BOLLA KALI TEMPLE |

BOLLA KALI TEMPLE is a famous Kali temple just
20 km away from Balurghat. The story behind the temple says that a Zamindar was
arrested by the British as he could not pay the tax for his Zamindari. Goddess
Kali came to his rescue and the Zamindar was freed the very next day. As a
token of gratitude, he built a temple of Goddess Kali and started worshipping
her.

Shati dropped here.

It is situated at Patiram some 12 km away from Balurghat. It was founded by Sri Sudhamagiriji in the year 1960. Different religious festivals are performed throughout the year. It comprises of eleven temples of Lord Shiva and thirty one Gods and Goddesses. The main festival is celebrated during the month of Shravana, popularly known as Shravani Mela. when the devotees come here from different parts of the district to pour holy water on the Shiva Linga and pray for his blessings.
