Bangarh Archeological Artifacts- Excavation by ASI


May 14, 2009 issue of the Telegraph, North Bengal Page says about the findings of the ASI in Bangarh:
ASI claims to have discovered artifacts dating back from eight eras of Indian history starting from 500 BC..



In 2009, the World Heritage Week was organised in Bangarh- vicinity supported by the ASI. Some glimpses:


It appears that this painting on an earthen pot was discovered from Bangarh and  presently is with the ASI.

 The seminar that was conducted on that occassion was then chaired by the then District Magistrate, Dakshin Dinajpur, Shri Ashok Bandopadhay, WBCS(Exe)




In July 2009 The Archeological Survey of India, Kolkata Circle, gave some photographs of Bangarh excavation to the Secretary, Bangarh Archeological Society for incorporating them in the website developed for the purpose. Thanks to Sri Partha Sarathi Maitra, Secretary, Bangarh Archeological Society, for allowing us to use these photographs.

All the photographs given below are acknowledged to have been obtained from the ASI, Kolkata circle. These are not to be used for any commercial purpose, without any exception.
